My biggest drawback on choosing a drivetrain swap is ME. I have never owned or worked on a turbo or s charger. The part that freaks me out is all the required OTHER stuff that goes with say the CA18 or SR20. The MAJOR thing that needs to happen is, keep it simple enough for me to service it. On a scale of 1-10, my automotive knowledge is a 5. The budget needs to stay under 5K USD for the drivetrain. Otherwise I'll just go get a '66 Mustang convertable................I'm leaning to a a14/15 w/ or w/out turbo or s charger w/ 5 speed. Keep it small, light & "simple". I'll also want a quasi race suspension/brake setup. Thanks again all for the fantastic info!

I went to look @ a '67 Toyota Corona for sale yesterday. $350 OBO and REALLY clean & complete. Good deal, until I discovered Black Widows all over it! I want the car but..............It would have to be driven into a lake of napalm!

I'm between Sac & Tahoe. Too far to help you. Would love to get info & pics as you go. RHD conversions don't give me enough concrete info to go buy. I need to know 100% before I sink thousands into a swap that ends up hitting the brake mc or similar problem.

Individual club members can have their pic on merchandise, & the rest of the members can "collect them all". And if things go sour between two members.....they can .....say....buy each others T-shirts and use them as T-paper! With all proceeds supporting the rest o' the club!...........Now, time to start up some rivalries!

I can donate 50-100USD per year. I just ask that there be no adds supporting left wing causes! ...............PS The beer holder/cooler idea is great. I'll take a 12 pack!
