Sounds good Todd
Whereabouts in vic are you?

Is the red shell on wheels? or, more to the point, does it have a diff and front struts? And is it a coupe, sedan, or ute.

Also, what is the rolling shell? coupe, ute or sedan?

Thanks mate.

Leigh

With this setup, would you just remove your standard brake resovior and bolt up the new booster and included res?

How much better would the brakes be with a brake booster? Will the pedal feel be different?

Sorry to bring up an old thread, but I was thinking about adding one to my ute depeding on ease of fitment versus actual gains.

Thanks,

Leigh

G'day,

Just wondering if anyone has any coupe, ute or sedan shells/complete card that they would like to part with for a few hundred dollars. I don't want to spend a fortune, I just need something to trial fit a few engines into. They don't have to be in perfect condition, they don't have to have an engine, but they must have a engine bay and transmissions tunnel, and they must be on wheels!!

Anyway, if you can help me out, let me know, keep in mind that I am in victoria.

Thanks.

Leigh

Apparently you can get all sorts of wierd and wonderful things engineered if you say it's for your business, i.e commercial use. A few different people have told me that, specifically people that you see advertising datto's in the trading post that have engine conversions that I thought couldn't be engineered.

There's usually a way around things like that if you are that keen to be able to legally drive it on the road. How? I don't know, but where there's a will, there's a way.

*insert cliche here* hehe.

I know, I'm lazy, so I was just wondering if anyone knew off the top of thier heads how much engine oil an a14/a15 would take? Also, while on the topic, do the a12's take the same amount?

Thanks,

Leigh

As per my post in the classifieds section, I'm just wondering if things like the reaer brake drums/shoes and wheels are interchangeable between the 1200 and the 120Y. The reason I ask is that there seems to be heaps of 120Y's around in wreckers but very few 1200's. Comments?

Found this in the trading post....

DATSUN 1200 SEDAN (DATLDO) 12A Bridgeport, Weber, Gilmor drive, 4 wheel disc brakes, Weld wheels 15 x 3 1/2 and 15 x 7, full autometer dash, new interior, fully engineered, nothing to spend, must sell, $10000 LIVERPOOL 0410-68 5149

Now, I was under the impression that this kind of conversion could not be engineered? Correct?
Anyone like to fill me in on how this guy got his car engineered? Hmmm, might give him a ring even!

G'day,

Does anyone have a set of roadworthy rear brake drums and shoes for a 1200 ute? Need some for a roadworthy. If anyone can help me out, or even give me some places that DEFINATELY have 1200 stuff....it would be greatly appreciated and save me a lot of time!!

Thanks.

Leigh
