Thanks for the reply.

Does anyone else have any experience with the 1600 jobs? Like I said, there's quite a few 1600's around here, and it might be a good alternative for the stanza struts.

Thanks.

Leigh

Guys,

Does anyone know if the 1600 struts are a bolt in fit to the 1200? I was under the impression that these were almost identical to the Stanza struts, but I'm probably wrong!

Has anyone used the 1600 struts? The reason I ask is that they seem to be readily available in my area.

Cheers.

Leigh

For a start, turn your caps lock off, as believe it or not, it doesn't make people more interested in your post.

Secondly, there's a little search panel on the side of the screen......

<-------Over there

Use that to find the info you need, as it has been covered on numerous occasions. It all depends on the year of your ute as to how easy the engine is to just 'bolt in'

Hey Ben,

I'm pretty sure I have some too.

If you're still after some, let me know. They are currently on a Datto 1000 ute.

Cheers.

Yeah, what Chris said, 205's are right on the limit.

If you are willing to do some more involved work (depending on how keen you are to fit wider wheels) you can do what I did and shorten the diff accordingly and also make some custom brackets to move the leaf spring assembly in 2 inches or so. This, however, would need to be engineered, but shouldn't be a problem if done correctly.

Are you able to get some more detailed pics than the ones that are on your website?

They pics are a bit pixelated, and hard to see any detail

Also, I hate to be a negative Nancy, but if you used the subject field a little better, you might have a bit more luck picking up an engine!

Solid info on hydraulic clutch setups

Hey guys,

I just thought I would start a new thread about the use of hydraulic clutches on conversions.

Now, most efi engine conversions these days mated with thier factory boxes use some kind of hydrailuc clutch setup.

What I (any many other people I'm sure) would like to know is, does the clutch master cylinder and the clutch slave cylinder have to be of the same origin?

I'm thinking about using something like the urvan master and say an rx7 slave. Does this sound like a viable option, and is it really as simple as making appropriate fittings for the fluid line?

My very basic understanding of the concept is that once a master cylinder is made to fit in the firewall and onto the clutch pedal, it's just a matter of connecting this via a fluid line to the slave that has been bolted to the gearbox (possibly using a custom rod)

Can anyone fill me in here, as I was comtemplating using an oem import clutch master from a B110.

Cheers.

Leigh

I think pictures tell a thousand words.

Upload some, so people can see why it's worth the money?
