The problem I have driving a Datsun is that theres only like 2 other 120Ys on the coast so if I do something not entirely legal people are going to remember the car.
But then again thats the price you pay for not driving a skyline like everyone else...

Old rwd toyotas have the same stud pattern and should have a similar offset.
Wheels that were from my sprinter and celica fit my 120Y.

Thanks for the info guys. Its all connected up now and it ran for about 20 seconds blowing lots of smoke and now it won't start.
I was going to just roll it down to a mechanic and let them tune it and whatever else needs to be done but is there anything else I could try to make it go?

I just got a standard twin carbie for an A14 engine and was wondering if theres anything I need to know about getting it all hooked up.
I haven't seen it yet but dad says it looks like it has a choke on each carbie but the original one only had a single choke. Also it might need a fuel return system, which apparently my car doesnt have.
Any help would be good. Thanks guys.

Right now theres other stuff I want more than performace like a paint job and some suspension work. And when you bought the car for $1600 it's hard to justify spending $1200 on carbs..
It'll probably be just one of those down the track maybe things.

I'd be pretty happy to run anything I could get but I don't want to spend much more than $500. I've been looking around for used webbers but nothing good has come up yet. And apparently the only place to get a standard manifold now is the wreckers.
It was $1200 for brand new twin webbers and manifold that should bolt straight up.

Do you have an oval port inlet manifold? If you'll post I'll buy. How much would you want for it?

I'm looking for a new manifold for my A14 and maybe a new carbie to go with it.
I've just been talking to a carb shop (whatever you call them) and they say the only aftermarket manifold made in Australia for the A14 is for twin webbers, which is about $1200 all up, which is a bit out of my price range. Other than that he said I'd have to hunt around the wreckers till I find another standard inlet manifold and bolt an aftermarket webber onto that.
Is all of this right? Are there any other options around because I've been looking for a manifold for ages and they just arent around.

Thanks. I might talk to Repco about it.
Sorry I should've said I've got an oval port A14, which is apparently different to the A12.
