I wouldnt think so how would you clean it out if it was. Really cleaned the head out using a compressor bit connected up to the hose and the radiator is a tripple core and has just been recored. Its not the original radiator and sits back a little bit further a mate said air could be getting past it causing it to heat up. How hard is it to put in an after market water temp gauge?

Hey just wondering what temp other peoples dats run at. I have a 1000 and the original temp gauge runs a bit above half seems a bit hot? i flushed the head put a new thermostat+housing recored triple core radiator ect. Could my gauge be out or? Does advancing the timing cause it to run hotter.
Cheers
