Um im not sure if its just me but it still doesn't work if I type datsun1200.com in the address bar...and none of my previously saved bookmarks work either!

I had to google search and come in through a thread to get here.
This happened on both my work and home computer.

...but yeh thats how desperate i was to get back here, but makes me wonder, are some members still MIA?

Well they aint my dream rim but theyre all ive got atm, kinda suit it and are by far not the worst wheel crime ive seen comitted on a datto.

but an interesting point was raised Sikyne...was that 50 bucks a side or 50 bucks an arch?

Im leaning more towards going with a pro cos the severity of the lip has already cracked the paint plus theres a few spots elswhere on the car that need patching to keep off the rot.

Next question. What spec Tyres you running on the TRX Rims ?

195/50s with 8mm spacers

Im happy to give it a go though they have been pulled a fair way out at the top...like almost all the lip is now facing down.

Thanks for both yr offers! both have been taken into consideration ;)
Ill try and get a pic posted so you can gauge for yourself whats needed

Im running sunny struts, theyre ok mostly just that over time the wheels have caught the very top of the wheel arch and pulled it down to resemble nice little daggers ready to do damage should I go over a bump on any kind of lock.

I was thinking inwards might cause a long-term rust hazard should crap accumulate in the fold? But im not sure how different itd look to roll outwards without going for a flared look.

Well the 15" TRX rims are playing havoc on my guards. The time has come to roll or get off the pot.

so Im wondering...

In or out?

If out, how much will this change the look?

Pictures?

Best ways to?

or just bugger it and get 13/14s?

The Cars That Ate Paris

An Australian classic! as is Stone, though no cars...mostly Kawasaki Z1s

Vanishing Point is good...(frequently referred to in Death Proof)

Russ Meyers' Faster Pussycat! Kill Kill!

Stephen Kings' Christine and his other movie about possessed killer vehicles- Maximum Overdrive

Not a car movie, but I just love the Jaguar coupe/ hearse conversion in Harold and Maude, made me wonder if anyones thought of doing a Datto hearse? (might have to be a LWB tho)

Sage advice pepper, was just wondering if this would be the way to go...is there much difference in the different types?...if so which would be better suited?

"...it seemed also to slightly speed up and slow down of its own accord."

This did make me suss that it could have been something else (its also running an electronic dizzy)...but I just put it down to the pressure from fuel pump as it was cyclic?
Is there an easy way to unblock the idle jet...(also referred to in the wiki as the low speed jet?) without pulling the whole carby apart?
Thanks.

So I went for a long drive out to Avalon yesterday...pulling into the terminal the engine stalled, after that it would start fine but die when it went back to idle speed. I adjusted the speed screw to get home setting the idle as low as I could get it...but still running at about 2000 rpm and sounding crappy...it seemed also to slightly speed up and slow down of its own accord.Still it seemed to enjoy the highway back...not missing a beat until I pulled up at lights :/
After so long trying to get this thing tuned for the A12 I thought I finally had it in a good place...so before I go throwing it even more out from these settings, just thought id ask what is likely to have changed to cause this?
