Thats 1 good way of always having reserve fuel in your tank i spose. lol

ah no thatd be the other way round! when the TANK hits empty the guage still sez 1/4... i suspect that the sedan tank is deeper?...still its a helluva lot better than nothing thanks Mick

Next stop...Canberra!
.

...but yeh sedan are a perfect fit for ute...its just the float arms and the resulting fuel levels that seem to differ slightlty

yah dd the one on the orange ute is the closest to what i was thinking, dunno about its colorscheme tho.

Id have to agree with wolki and reuby that within the lines of the ute and a panel van type look would suit best.
Most of the common ones Ive seen just make the ute look a bit...i dunno...grandaddy?

Spewing i dont have my design apps. on this computer as it would be fun to have a play around with some new designs for one...maybe ill have to go and search for my pencil case which has been gathering dust scince i learnt Autocad and photoshop

that fasback type bottom one is interesting but its still kinda proving my point as i reckon most of them look kinda crappy or at least change the entire appearence of the ute for the worse.
Wondering if anyone has done a more streamlined panel van type conversion or something...might look good... might not!

Was wondering if anyone here has a canopy for thier ute that doesnt range from looking ridiculous to hideous when attatched.(I have yet to see one myself)
Pics/drawings/scribbles would be great if anyone has or has seen any good ideas that actually compliment the 1200 ute.

theres one on ebay atm here
dunno if its late or early tho.
Apparently its not to hard to make up some new engine mounts to fit without having to change the crossmember?
