I'm thinking about NOS when my rebuild is finished - but I can only use it at the drags down here.

You aren't even allowed to have it set up in your car on the street ( even if it's disconnected).

Many people have watched The Fast & The Furious too many times and have some misconceptions about nitrous

Facts are: When it's injected into the inlet manifold it -

1. Lowers the engine intake temperature providing a dense inlet charge.

2. Increases the oxygen content of the inlet charge.

3. Increases the rate at which combustion occurs.

Main things to watch when fitting NOS are to pay particular attention to : Fuel pressure delivery and Ignition timing. Usually the timing should be retarded 4 - 8 degrees - also watch the temperature of the NOS bottle. Also higher octane fuel would be beneficial and spark plugs may have to be a couple of ranges colder than normal.

For small NOS applications engine mods would be limited however if you wanted a huge increase in power using NOS : Ditch the cast pistons, use high quality head studs, upgrade the ignition system.

As for power gains it depends on your budget and application but anywhere from 10 - 80 HP increase or there abouts.

Hope some of this helps.......................

I can't believe you guys are so unlucky to have such tight transport laws up there.

You can't register a car because of rips in the seat? - WHAT A JOKE -

You guys should see some of the death traps down here! What harm could possible come from a rip in the seat upholstery!

Maybe loose $1 at the KFC drivethrough?

I'm speechless I can't believe that...............

Yeah mate - how much?????

I sell some stuff on ebay - so postage should be about $5.00 (Pre-Paid parcel satchel with bubble wrap insert).

Let me know how much. I could pay via netbank first and then you could send it off - if that would suit you.

If you had a Commonwealth Account (like me) the funds would probably show up straight away.

So lets haggle

Hi Blake,
My A15 is out of my ute as of last night and I'll be stripping it down today, so I'll see what numbers i can find.

Mine is relatively stock but I'll post what I find anyway just in case it helps in some way.

For an alternative that is VERY easy to use try "Blubster".

I run Adaware6.0 & Spybot 1.2 and have never had any troubles with spyware, i just run these every few days to pick up any nasties if there are any.

I'll have a scout around in the garage and see what i can find.....................you never know.

If its the same as the standard accel cable nut - you might have to borrow a mates if they've got a datto and then match one up.

I'll have a look though anyway - If ive got one it'll only cost me 50c to post one up so fingers crossed.

I've got a rollbar to suit a ute here under the house. I took it out when i bought the ute.

Its a shame you're so far away though........

I'm selling it though, so if any ute owners here in Tas want it - let me know.
