My starter motor packed in finally so I rang up Repco for a price on one, thinking $70 or so dollars woudl be resaonable. They got back to me with a price of $295!! I had an a12 one on my a14 maybe reason she died eventually.

Just wondering if anyone else has tried to source one new and if there HT versions or anything like that.

Datsuns parts are becoming gold mines now.... of course a 2nd hand one is an option but just wondering about new ones.

These Gearboxes are so awsome, mine is great to drive. Not many of them around and can take max power out of Aseries, such a handy box to have.

Sounds simliar to mine. If there is little rust and good paint. 6-8k mark is about right also whether it comes with rego and/or rwc etc..

Good Luck mate, pics go along way too if you can post a few up.

Yeah Cheers Chris they went in good, just did the passenger side one. Old man sheered the mount very well and moved the gearbox, told him to go down the gutter on a angle.
But all good just some effort i didnt want to have to do on a sunday arvo
