i,d still be checkin cam retainers cos i,v popped heaps of them and they all rattle with deep knockin in the top ends, rebuilt or not, this is the CA20,s weak spot, and new threads and a wizard with a tourqe wrench will fix it till you hit 6000rpm again.

yes i,m mad but why not.No turbo lag,no intercooler,no stuffen around, just instant, insane power, insane grunt,as soon as i peddlel the gas.i,v had some thought,s on using a "charger" from a late model falcon or commodore v6, Vortec? which should be small enough to not run too rich, and simply bolt on the side, somewhere? help, where,s your brains at now?

hey fella,i think their all wrong! check the threads holding down the cam and i nearly bet my sole that these little suckers are stripped and the whole lot is floating on one end or central of the camshaft.CA20,s are prone for this and they dont like big rev,s keep them under 5500rpm and they are happy as pigs in mud, this is where the saying"there"s drivers, and theres opereators" comes into mind,. if you over rev a CA20 you WILL tear the threads from the cam retainers and a diesel knocking noise will be apparent you need to heli-coil all sus threads or find an un-damaged head, hope that fixes the little sucker

Hi Bennie su carbs can ge fun to tune without vac guages connected ... scew jets Anticlockwise to lean them out and clock wise to richen the mix depending on the sea level (altittude) where you live.you will find starting at the lean setting and go for a drive and keep changing the mix click by click till the engine pulls the smoothest and quietest , you should advance dizzy a tad to compensate or valve bouncing will occur if too lean or advanced. My A14 runs twin su's and timing is set at 7% works for my mill hoooold on hope this helps.
