Engine blueprinting

Hi All,
I have been doing a little bit a talking to people regarding an engine rebuild as mine is on the way out. Several people have really stressed getting the engine blueprinted. What does this entail and how much (even ballpark figures) does it cost.

Does it just means balancing the engine (as per search results <------------)

Thanks.

Gday Regulator,
fill in your profile so that people know where you are from.... that way they can give you a better idea of where to buy things from.

The cortina webber should be able to bolt onto the 120y without too much trouble. The adapters are made by redline or there is another group, I think called Lynx that sell them. If you're in Australia, then Autobarn sell them.

have a look at the bottom of the webber (not underneath) and there should be something like DGAV, DGV or similar followed by 32/36. Take those details and have a look in the tech section, it explains what they mean and do.

(oops sr20detuterus beat me to it)

And boy oh boy do they stop you. You'll be sucking your face off the windshield (maybe a little exagerated, but they do work really well)

Hi All,

The GT28 turbo on my ca ute is great, but it lags like a bastard! Would going down to a GT25 affect performance other than coming on boost earlier? especially considering that I have a fairly large intercooler?

Thanks

Lobster,

Did I see you driving last night (tuesday 4 May) at around 10 heading towards Woden. I was turning onto the parkway and noticed a dato that I thought might be yours tearing off from the lights.....

Just wondering - cause I haven't seen it around before.

Is your 1200 an auto or manual?

Depending on which it is, the auto tunnel is bigger than the manual tunnel, and as such, the auto doesn't need to be modified much, if at all, but the manual will need to be.

Hi all,
I have an 5" Autometer Autogauage in my ute, which has a stinger ems in it.

The tacho signal needs to be a 12v square wave signal (as per the autometer website) and the people from EMS have suggested that in order to make their signal sufficient I should splice into the tacho wire a 12v connection seperated by a 500 - 1000 ohm resistor.

The problem is, initially the shift light was self testing when I turned the car on, and now that I have tried this setup, it no longer self tests. And the suggested setup did not work. ie: the tacho did not work.

Any ideas? (aside from buying an adapter from Autometer which creates the signal from the coils)

Thanks peoples
