Damo,
Yeah i was pretty sure the GT series were rated quite well.

I have had the ute for about two months now but I have been away a fair bit on business, so I haven't had much of a chance to have a look around under the bonnet. But I know it has a fairly big fuel pump in it. when I bought it the guy said it runs on stock injectors, but a few things he has told me have turned out to be a little further from the truth - the 20 psi of boost is a classic example.

Thanks
Scott

Thanks guys,

I have a GT28 turbo, so the turbo should be able to handle the 20 psi without too much trouble.

I'll give a different gauge a whirl - it can't hurt to get a second opinion.

Cheers
Scott

Hey Guys,

Does anyone know how much boost the stock internals of the CA18 can handle without too much trouble. The reason being, I have just put a boost gauge into my ute (Bought the ute 2 months ago) and it is running at 20psi.

I have read a few topics on Skylines Australia and a few people seem to think that the engine is quite strong and can handle 20 psi (but will require a rebuild possibly every 18months). While others are running around 15 - 16 psi day in day out.

Can anyone shed any light on this for me?

Thanks.
Scott

Tommy,

You could make a mount for a sub to go on top of the transtunnel just in front of the heater unit. Cause the 8" subs are quite small (not very deep) it wouldn't take up too much room, only problem would be that someone could rip it out quite easily....

Amps go great under the seat though, mine has been there for a log while and never had a problem.

have fun!

As ApHaSia4504 said, Adware 6.0 is a good program for getting rid of nasty popups and lots of other malicious crap that will collect your details and send it out. A good companion to that is Spybot Search and Destroy, it picks up a couple that Adware doesn't and vice versa.

I have had similar things happen with datnet and a couple other sites that I have visited in the past months.

Programs called Spambots crawl the web and search for the @ symbol that is associated with all of our addresses. If you have ever posted your email address on this site, then it is quite probable that a program like this has picked it up. From their, the program can also grab your username....there isn't a lot that can be done to stop it.

Once the Spambots have the addresses, automated tools can be used to send the mail out. I am guessing that the attachment was a text file xxxx.txt? It is the easiest to send because spam filters struggle to pick them up as spam mail.

Like Dodgeman said, if it looks dodgy, delete it. Its not worth the risk..

I have a an A15 in my ute and the radiator that came with it was quite small (as in never seen smaller). It ran a little hot sometimes (esp on hot days and long uphills) but I swapped it for a slightly larger one, and it is great!

Good Luck!

My 32/36 came from a cortina with a manual choke in the same box of parts. I am not sure if this is an original part though as I had to fabricate a cable mount for it, but you can definately get one.
