Wont looping it just rotate hot water around the motor (shortest path) reducing flow to the radiator as well as heating the front of the head up?

Thats why I asked, most people loop, but with the 1200 having a coolant shut off valve (no coolant flow unless heater is used, and when heater is used it acts as a small radiator removing heat out of the coolant)

I see looping it adding a lot of temp into the motor? maybe im not seeing somthing?

When you guys remove the heater systems do you just plug the fitting behind the head and on the side of the motor? I know we have coolant shut off valves so I dont see anything wrong with a blank off, but figured its best to ask.

My hoses are looking a bit suspect + for the one day a year its cold in South Africa I dont worry about a heater, would rather save some weight.

Just remember to buy the GX or aftermarket seats and retainers for what ever dual springs you purchase.

My machine shop (I usualy do it myself) didnt install my supplied GX retainers and seats when I had them assemble my A15's head with Tomei dual spring, they just used OE seats and retainers, car was getting valve float at 6200rpm!

There are some good deals on Ebay from time to time for US 1200's... Even here in South Africa you have to really shop around to get a good deal, most of them are rusted beyond help...

Problem here is that most of the really poor people have used them till they have litteraly fallen/rusted apart, very very rare to find one in good or rebuildable condition, when I say rebuildable I mean not having to replace every single item.

For sure! man, must be quiet somthing living so far out!

I have the BW 3.89 in my 1200 with a 2007 ute (south african champ) 5sp box, cruizes at 130-140kph with ease with my A15 (though the wind noise gets a bit old! )

Good luck!

Sounds like your going pretty hard core on that motor with stainless valves ectr. What power and RPM are you aiming at?

The under engine scuff plate?

Busy getting mine done in ally to try save some weight (keeping it more for air flow than any form of protection)
