I got the hella direct fit replacments from my local parts shop in South Africa, they are semi rounded in the front and take H4 bulbs (no park light), I think they were about $30au if im not mistaken each, look good and really help at night (not that it gets driven at night very often)

Oh awsome, thanks, never saw wiki, must be blind!

I've bought 2 shipments of parts through nissan ZA over the internet.
I generally email/talk with Karin Britts. I send the parts department a request containing a list of the part numbers from the website.

They ship DHL. It normally takes a couple of months, because most of the parts need to come from Japan (via south africa).

It's a pain in the ass though. $100 worth of parts cost $200 as the banks charge like nothing else to transfer money, then the government puts a 30% duty on top + 25% GST on top of that. The bank doesn't know how much each of the intermediatory banks will charge for the transfer, as no Australian banks have a working relationship with Nissan's bank in J'burg. This means that you have to pay an extra $20-30 bucks per intermediate bank for the transfer. The final bank keeps all of the extra, so that the destination only gets the amount specified in the transfer. And you never get reciepts for where all of the money went.

If you keep the value of the parts below $400, then the duty and GST isn't a problem. DHL chase you up for the duty and GST if it's required, you can pay that over the phone with credit card.

The parts work out to be the same price as equivalent car parts here. It's not a bargain, but if you want the parts bad enough then its ok.

They no longer stock many of the hard to get parts, like glovebox lids, metal grill parts. etc etc. I think Nissan SA will have to stop making the Bakkies soon because the Nissan Japan parts appear to be drying up.

Guys, I run an import export business for Nissan stuff, (SR20 and RB25/6) www.rezlo.com , If any of you guys need stuff from Nissan SA let me know, I get pretty good discount, and I can ship postal service which would be WAY cheaper than DHL!!!

Just let me know if you need somthing, pref with a part number and ill see if i can help you out.

Just an idea, maybe make a sticky where people can post a link to webshops or people that sell/supply parts for 1200's and A/L series engines, as well as what they thought of the service ectr,

Would be loverly to get a better idea on what things cost and availability on parts to make more informed decisions.

Hi guys,

Did a search but didnt find anything, looking for the engine service manual for the A15 please,

I seem to have quite a new A15 due to having had a 3 belt crank pulley (power steering and A/C?) as well as a cruize control actuator!

a like to a service manual for the A15's would be awsome,

Thanks

8000rpm is more than enough for me,

How much? I am 100% for doing a motor right the 1st time, but this is my budget car (my RB makes me poor enough)

Thanks

Did a search, nothing useful,

A15 head running a 280 to 290 cam, what is the most cost effective yet reliable valve spring setup to use to support decent RPM?

If I switch to the GX springs as one or two people have told me to do would I need to change the retainers? or is there a decent aftermarket kits available that wont rupture my bank ballance?

Thanks

I have a 1975 1200 B110 4 door (South African version) with a poked A12,

I have just picked up a clean A15 with points style distributor as well as a FS5W60A out of a 1994 Nissan 1400 pick up (still in production here) due to a bit of highway driving I do.

I plan the following:
Twin 40mm DCOE

Great thanks!

I found this:
In most markets, the B210 line featured as the only engine option a re-designed A12 engine. However, in the South African market they also featured L14 and L16 engine options, as well as special edition of B210 coupe badged as a 140Z and a 160Z. The 140Z and 160Z featured twin SU carburetors and a 5-speed transmission.

I will go look at the car soon, it looks like the B210's I see if i search on google, but it has 3 round tail lights each side, not the rectangular ones, holding fingers crossed it will have some good parts for me to use.
