Rightio, it looks as if I have found one... Would it be dodgy if I made another up out of copper pipe, the water pipe stuff?

It could corrode but I doubt i'll ever have this head off again, I'd be getting a "Big Block" A15 or an L series if the head ever went again...

I just noticed that I don't have any locating dowels... I cant recall pulling any out...

Do the A12's have them?

I have noticed that there is one bolt slightly longer than the rest as well, like 10mm longer... Is that usual? If so, which hole is its home?

Head is ready to bolt back on... Would have loved an A14 or 15 but time and money are limiting factors...

I'd rather an L20b conversion if anything though... I just don't know how difficult it would be to do with mounts and stuff... Haven't seen much info on the web as of yet...

Have been doing a CA18Det into an E30 for the last 6 months, so that will be the "Quick" car for awhile...

Yeah, tried Gary... He's gone none in stock... That A14 would have been sweet but he's sold it...

Rang John Armstrong's Spare parts today ahd they were most un helpful...

Does nissan still make them? I've never had much luck with the Toowoomba Nissan dealership...

Anyone on here have any in good nick?

Does anyone besides ARP sell head bolts for the A series? And also the suppliers?

I cant afford $180 just at the moment...

Rather spend that money on a tough motor down the track...

I did the exact same thing you mentioned... The thread just wound out by hand after getting the head off...

And fluid in number 2... I rooted the gasket up with a broad knife so i couldn't fully see where the problem was...
