Damn!!!!! I just snapped a head bolt... Damn thing was rusted in there...

Its sitting above the block but the head is also stuck on... Might take the engine out and take the lot down to a machine shop...

My names Brendan and I've been addicted for about a year and a half...

I bought a 1200 ute and have never looked back... This is him (his name is Ed Tuff, not so tough now that he blew a gasket!)...

And this it him with the new superlites I bought...

Now I have to replace the head gasket as I cooked the engine a week ago... was running smooth up until last night when It wouldn't turn over...

Yeah, i fixed the problem, i put the radiator cap back on tightly!

Its got a good cooling system, just a stupid owner...

I have the A14 oval port head and an intake manifold, but only the standard A12 exhaust manifold, which I would assume is no real drama...

Does anyone know which head gasket i will need to use if I put this A14 head onto the A12 block? Is it worthwhile to do? Will it be more beneficial down the track for tuning?

Or should I just stick to the A12 head...

I am a bit pissed off cause everything seemed to be running sweet, aside from needing to replace the uni's and then all of a sudden it was rooted...

I've just tried to start my engine and it went to turn over and it was like the engine was seized... It Finally turned over and ran... Checked the oil and it is milky so I've blown a gasket...

I over heated the engine a week or so ago...

My question is, I have an A14 head sitting here that needs to be checked... It has the valves and springs but nothing else...

Will all the A12 Rockers and the rail fit onto this head at all?

It looks to be the same if not similar...

Any help would be appreciated, I really need to get this engine going by the end of tomorrow as it is a work vehicle...

Hi guys, I was wondering what the original datsun 1200 ute wheel offsets were? I have done numerous searches and have come up with nothing...

I've got 12 inch rims on at the moment and would like something a little larger!
