What a fun ride that would be!

Mmmm dream Datto!

I would use a throttle body at the front there instead of an alternator though (Lol).

I had surface rust on the roof of my ute.
I got it sandbasted - It's about as clean as you can get then.
Don't take any short cuts (I am not saying anyone's advice is a short cut)
Because once the top coats are on, they're on.
the last thing you want is your fresh paint job to start lifting etc.

Just got my ute back form Yarra Valley Blasters (Victoria).
I got my ute sand blasted due to surface rust. The Guy does a sensational job of blasting and cleaning.
One thing to watch out for when blasting a little datto is the thickness of the steel. 1200's have quite thin steel compared to what alot of so called blasting company's are used to. It does heat the steel and will warp the panels if not done right.

My advise would be to shop around to find a good company and pay a bit more if you have to.

Where does everyone get their CA stuff from?

I Went to Nissan - they told me because they are import parts, I need a Vin No. to order anything.

Does anyone order their parts through anyone in particular?
I am located in Victoria but will pay for postage etc if i have to.

I need little stuff like:
Alternator bracket
Hard oil / water lines (that run behind the engine)
Starter motor bolts
Water pump pulley
Gaskets

Any help would be great!!!

Thanks.

Well boys a Technical Section - The part of liscencing responsible for modifed cars in WA are not happy with this, because the CA engine exceeds the maximun cc for a turbo engine by 9 cc.

Like I said... They are some pretty hard nosed fu%#ers!

What does a Ute weigh? ( probably been mentioned before - sorry)
How did 'Perthute' go getting all of his cars engineered?

Register with photobucket, then download your pic to it and save it as an AVATAR... was pretty straight forward (even for me)

Hey ANGE,

It's Sam here...
What time are you going to leave your place?

You wouldn't believe when the panel beater said the ute was going to be ready this time... Saturday morning!
Wait and see though.
But I've already organised the parents to look after the rug rats just in case!

So it's going to be a good day either way.
