Not quite clear on the power to weight? They say is calculated by weight x 2.5...
695 x 2.5 = 1735.5 or in the case of the wagon weight 720 x 2.5 = 1800 I agree with Lachie - I assume this is cc's? Cos If It's horsepower your laughing! (and if It's Kw's HOLD ON)! If what they mean IS cc's. It falls over a mere 9cc's If they knock it back for that... They are some pretty hard nose f*#%ers.
Look at it this way, if at some point in the future you decide you still want a VS commo, you can go and fing one in pretty good nick for around $2-3K, but if you want a 1200 ute, good luck finding one in alright condition for the same price.
I was going to go with the Stumpy box... Is this an easier fit? room wise, or pretty much the same deal? ( I know the shifter should be in the standard position).
Sorry to jump on the back of your thread, but it's up the same avenue.
Quikest car ive been in was my mates R32 gtr 342kw at all 4 wheels dose 10 sec 1/4's and 1.18's around sandown absolute animal
Gotta love Quick quarters AND good track times!!! I'm guessing it is still reasonably streetable and smooth to drive? Telltail signs of a well balanced car in MY opinion.
I know you asked the question... 'What is the weight of the ute?'
But, I was just curious as to what Ideas were you tossing around? Cos the hilux's are totally different. They have a full chassis for starters and this allows them to have (almost) any engine engineered. Power to weight does'nt really come into play as far as I know.
As for the weight of the ute, I think It is about 720kg's.
Maybe people build or buy the IDEA of something, rather than what really IS practical for them?
A ute isn't really practical if you have kids who wan't to come for a ride. But 'sometimes' I don't really wan't my boy's with me ( It sets a bad example ). What may have suited your lifestyle at one stage may not suit you now.
Some people build or buy a car that has wicked specs on paper... button clutch's, big stall converter's, low diff gears, heaps of lag, big cams etc. but when you start driving it round (cos that is what you built it for) you get anoyed.
But, each to their own... Everyone has differnt tastes and driving styles.
As for the wife... Are you gonna make me choose??? (Lol Dear)
...And for every Datto that gets sold... The buyer is another person that is converted (Lol).
