think of it this way sumith, its about the same price for small kits between 50hp to 150hp, about 1000$ aus, so a 50hp shot is bad economy, a 50hp shot will be basically doubling the power of an old a series with only u know how many miles on it, and might break something. Also if u dont have the suspension and brake upgrades to handle it u might crash and blow up your nos and yourself with it.

For the same $ u could do some nice performance and handling mods that arent cheating and need refilling after every race.

1000coupe - You have some relevant points... But I feel you could hardly call NOS 'cheating'.
It's a simple preference as is cubes, turbo, supercharging etc. What ever flicks your switch (No pun intended).

I rang a company in Victoria called 'carols springs' located in thomastown only last week.
You can have them reset to any height you want and as stiff or soft as you want (within reason). All for only $150

Not that much dearer than a set of lowering blocks!!! although a small amount of extra work.

Call even a major suspension place like your local pedders or similar... I'm sure they could point you in the right direction.

Hey mate,
I have one here... It's been sitting around for years but the ute was owned by an old fella who used to putt around. It should be in reasonable condition - (I never drove the car).

It's here if you want it.

I had a strange problem a few years ago with a Holden crummy dore...
Checked all the usual things - Ignition, power, starter etc.
Turned out to be a faulty switch for the auto (to stop the car from starting in gear).
Also put a stereo in a car once - then it wouldn't start???
One of the previous owners had put a kill switch under the dash and I had bumped it!

If all of the usual things don't work... Think out side the box!
