I searched around and didn't have much luck with the stumpy box.
I found a couple in very average condition.
In the end I just decided to use the CA box - They're smoother, stronger and more readily available.
I am going to attempt to fit it into a munual tunnel, I've asked around and it's been done a few times succesfully.
Only real issue iv'e heard of is removing the gearbox with the engine in the car.
Removing the crossmember or engine / gearbox combo will be the only way.
My engineer would rather i not cut the tunnel etc.
In saying that, I have a 180B tunnel waiting... just in case.

Wow!!!
That Rigoli Ute is really neat - everything fits well too.

Even though a V6 would have more weight than a CA or SR for example, I'm guessing the weight would be spread wider rather than longer - given that the Cylinder banks would only be three deep on each side - as opposed to four in a line.

Weight would obviously play a huge part in handling, but isn't weight more critical when it's extending past the crossmember / front wheels?
(This is not fact - just a thought)

But, The new Alloytech V6 Commodore engine could be fun - anyone know it's weight?

There is a mob on ebay that sell a braided line kit for the CA18det and SR20DET (apparently they are the same)
About $90 from memory

I would give you mine but I think they're broken.
That's why I was going the braided route.

These are some part numbers I have been collecting... Some will be useful, some won't.
Just thought I'd put em up.
(Some of the prices will vary too).

ARP Main Studs

1 x 10 pack of 300-8364 10mm 1.25 12mm socket .700 flange 12pt nuts... $43.51
1 x 10 pack of 200-8592 10mm ID .850" OD Chamfer Washers... $12.19
10 x AM4.125-1LB studs ... $5.59 each ($55.90/set of 10)

The BLOCK is a M10x1.50 thread, where the stud will thread into. The other end of the thread is the M10x1.25, where the NUT will thread onto. Hence the 2 different thread pitches.
BTW, i have installed these and they are absolutely perfect! Zero clearance issues with the oil pan. The ARP rep told me to just use their assembly lube, thread the stud into the block until finger tight (assemble the bearing caps and crank girdle), then torque all the nuts down to 60 ft-lbs, NO MORE. Then loosen them all a few turns, and repeat. He said to torque then loosen a few times, as it polishes the threads and gives a better bite. But he definately made sure to stress NOT to exceed 60 ft-lbs of torque, and be sure to use the proper tightening sequence, per the FSM.
