There are images posted now. Looks like the fender lips were rolled, the forward edge of each fender was trimmed and the marker light holes were filled. Perhaps off of an old race car?

No whinging about transmission to tunnel clearance here - there isn't one. I don't recognise the drivetrain in this stalled project, but it looks like a good start on a major drivetrain swap for those seeking even more power in their coupe than what the OEM A12 provides. Ecoboost V6 twin turbo, anyone?

'Tis but 70 miles south of here, so if anyone is deadly serious on buying it, I could take along my bondo detector, pointy screwdriver, camera and blindingly bright LED worklight to do a pre-purchase inspection.
