A fairly tidy, rust free survivor according to the owner, but will need interior work and is in need of some panel beating to be really straight. (note dent in roof) 4-speed stick, engine runs, DMV fees up to date, missing bits in photos are included. https://santamaria.craigslist.org/pts/ ... tsun-1200/7022132878.html

Copy that. I've also received a 'posting timed out' message to my CL query. He's from my area, so if I can get in touch, I will let him know that there are buyers for his bits and pieces.

Heard during load-out from the show: "Guys, careful down that ramp...it doesn't have any brakes just yet! I said guys be..." (expensive sounding crunching noises) "&%^$^#!" Beautifully detailed build so far! Keep up the great work!

Many, many 1200 parts FS, all nicely arranged and listed out. The train horns would make a nice addition for any 1200 to get the attention of soccer moms driving their GMC Denials, Cadillac Escapades and the like while they're sipping a latte, texting and asking their spawn to STFU. https://slo.craigslist.org/pts/d/paso- ... 200-parts/6991367639.html

Back in the day, most station wagon bodies were custom built by outside woodworking vendors. A stripped down chassis with front sheet metal was shipped out to these coachbuilders who built a furniture quality wooden body on these chassis, then they were shipped back to the auto manufacturer to sell. The "woodie" term came to mean any vehicle with a partial wood exterior, courtesy of surfers who picked these sort of cars up for pennies when their furniture quality construction fell prey to the elements and their once proud owners couldn't afford the $ to have them rebuilt. These gorgeous pieces of rolling woodworker art are a far cry from today's Wagon Queen Family Trucksters with their genuine imitation wood grain decal appliques.

Looks like an A14GX engine in a very tidy 1958 Morris Minor Traveller wrapper. The owner tells me that a 1977 B210 GX gave up a massive organ transplant (engine, trans, rear end, disc brakes) to this lovely little woodie. Nicely maintained woodwork & mechanicals, good looking paint, instant cachet at any Datsun and/or woodie gathering. Excellent price. I've seen lesser versions going for $10k more. https://losangeles.craigslist.org/wst/ ... 58-morris/6997504469.html
