I have a 1200 ute and recently fitted a ca18det. All the wiring is in place on the engine, I just need to know where the wires go from the 16 wire plug that comes out of the ecu. I know im not going to need all of these wires just the efi, starter, earths, ect.
The colour codes on the 16 wires are as follows:
yellow/red
blue/white
yellow/green
blue/black
white (thicker than rest)
black
black
orange
blue
black
light green
blue/red
red
green
grey/red
grey/blue
Any help would be very much appreciated.
If all you have to say is go to auto lec than dont bother. I have built/customised everything myself so far and am more interested in the learning than paying some one the easy way.

For sale A12 complete running engine with 4 spd box, crossmembers, tailshaft, full exhaust and coil with all wiring from a 1200 ute. Engine is in excellent condition doesnt miss a beat. Can mms video of engine running to anyone interested in purchasing. 75000 miles (aparently) Make an offer!

What about a s13 yoke on the 1200 stock tailshaft shortened ? to weak ?

I have a 1200 ute fitted with a ca18det, standard ca manual gearbox and stock h165 diff. Was told today that a datsun stanza manual tailshaft once simply shortened will fit in perfect both ends, does anyone know if this is true?

I have a 12a engine and box for sale (will seperate) and live on the gold coast too so transportation wont be an issue for you. cant sell yo the clutch assembly though. If you seacrh a few wreckers and your able to find one (prob mostly stripped already) your almost certain to find the cluch asemblies still remain in most vehicles except the master cylinder which is better off bought new after market anyway.

Im chassin a ca18det half cut, have called a few places around brisbane and the gold coast ,the goin rate seems to be $2800, I am prepared to pay this amout, just wondering if any one knows where I might get a beter deal ??
