the cost of a general rebuild ($2500-$3000)

what does this mean general rebuild? as in each time u blow a seal or equivalent of a head gasket it costs 2500 to 3000? or do u mean if u get a proffesional to do a full build up?

i know not many ppl on here like rotars but i do and a freind of a freind has one sitting in his garage and i may have a chance to buy it, i dont have all the details but ive heard it ran in a 626 but was blown due to the use of nitrous oxide. does anyone have any advice as id like to know whether it being blown due to the nos may have damaged it or just blown a seal or something? any advice please thanks guys.

ive talked bout this before and i know that rotars u times by two, does anyone know whether u would have trouble finidng a engineer that would let u do a 12a bridgeport into 1200 ute? i think for a road car that would be a really cool engine to have despite the very poor fuel economy, ive heard that the new rx8 gets only twenty something mpg, my parents auto v8 commodore gets 32, so surely an old 12a carby rotar would be alot worse.

instead of puttin in a different diff centre or wateva cant u just shorten or lengthen ur tailshaft to suit then just put in what ever diff u want as long as the track width and ratio is close to what u want? i think of things differently this sorta seems like a much easier way to go maybe there are problems?
