depends how well built the car is some budget setups without big brakes or big diff go for about 7-8k but properly engineered regod, with decent brakes wheels diff and engine mods can cost alot more my ute cost me 14k but just about everything bar engine upgrades were done, depends what youre willing to pay in the end.

my engine is getting rebuilt at the moment and im thinking of things i can fix while its out when i used to rev my engine not free revving but driving,i used to get like a fuel surge type sensation at revs above 4500 or so, im just trying to figure what it could be i used two different types of plugs stock and platinum, it has a new vl fuel pump and cleaned injectors running stock boost 8psi could this be my coil packs going or could there be a fuel issue i have sard reg set at around 40 psi drops to about 38 when u rev it,also the fuel pickup is at the rear of the tank and it has 3/8 fuel lines with decent return and please nobody ask if i had a full tank . anyone got any ideas......

i have basically done this except i still have the turbo cooling and cold start going to the t/b only thing else is the stock oilcooler lines but i suspect you wont be taking them off. i never had any problems, makes it alot less daunting to look at in the engine bay and i can actually see my injectors and fuel rail now !!!!

might need to flush the head out theres stuff called subaru upper engine cleaner gets all the carbon out the carbon builds up and raises your compression ration and makes it ping try it and see ac delco also make a similar product depending where u live might be easier to find

mildman the air is sticky oil filled air from your crankcase it gets all over your throttle body and i/c . the exhaust cam blows more oil coz the ca sits on a lean and the pick up is near the back
