i just relised how original my 1200 sedan is. While stripping it for body prep i found the service manual for it. It was del to the owner on 5/2/72 he serviced it every set amount of K's right up till 1980 by this stage it had only travelled 18,000 miles. So the reading of 85,000 miles on the dash would no doubt be correct. When i bought it last year it had the original radio (which also came with instrutions in the owners manual) in it. Just thought id share this info with anyone who cares.

hey dems what sorta struts are they? And how much are you asking?

How would i go about fitting them to my A14 cause if its not all that difficult ill get them off you when you come over.

Not sure its been awhile since ive been to mallala. There are some grassy hills there but im not sure if tents or such are allowed.

i saw a 1600 the other day with what the owner said were sigma turbo rims on it. ive never seen them around before they look excellent when their polished up. Anywayz how would i got getting a pair (providing i can find some) to fit my 1200?

Just caught up with an old mate of mine who is a panel beater and hes offered to do my body work for me for an old torana i have out the back, only problem i have now is deciding what colour to paint it. I was thinking of that light siver on the new Ford utes as im in adelaide theres not many datto 1200 to go by and photos are decieving. Any ideas peoples? Cheers

Is there much size difference between the holden V6 and a non turbo VG30 cause imstill debating what engine to fit in sedan and the VG was an option.

Im with you on that one. Im in Adelaide and there bloody everywhere but i actually think there ugly as all hell, give me the 1200 anyday and beside when you see a hotted up 1200 you know theres been alot of work and love but into it unlike the 1600 which they just by conversion kits for it and bolt in what ever engine the want. Ok ive finished my whinge now too.

How big a job is involed with fitting the L series engine? A friend of mine reckons he can get hold of a 1200 crossmember converted for the L20 and there was a turbo setup for the L20 in the trader for $500 or do you think thats a bit of overkill? But any more suggestions would be great.
