$10,000 is awesome for a 372hp engine that revs to 10,000rpm and weighs 95kgs.
And they would only be a 2 litre?????
Great for getting registered in a small car!!!

Ok I've decided I'm gonna do it. The Liberty is goin to make room for a new 1600. I'm gonna spend the next couple weeks fixing a few things up and then its officially up for sale. So if anyone is interested let me know before I put it in the Trading Post. And here's another pic....

My bro has cool GX wagon

Ok, I'm thinkin about selling my Liberty RS if I can get the right money for it.
Reason: because a very tempting offer has come up on a datto 1600.

-Its a genuine Aus delivered 1992 RS turbo (one of less than 900) in excellent condition
-184,XXX kms
Exterior
-Painted Jet Black (a few very minors chips and scratches because it does get driven)
-17 inch WRX wheels with near new Yokohama tyres that cost about $1100
-Factory sunroof
-Tints
-Has had some unknown suspension mods from MRT (still standard height, rides smoothly and handles well)
Engine
-Has a few performance upgrades but still looks factory under the bonnet
-sh_tty coils upgrade to 4 bosch's
-Bosch 910 500hp fuel pump
-TD05 turbo with around 40,000kms(bigger, but still a factory subaru turbo)
-Intake mods (replacement pipes etc.)
-Really, really good chip to suit
-3 inch exhaust with factory dump pipe
-Gearbox has been rebuilt with straight cut 1st and 2nd gears (yes they are noisy)
-Similarly modded libs get around 160-180kw at all 4 wheels depending on the dyno
Interior
-Front seats areGen2 Liberty leather, electric and heated
-Stereo is a Sony head unit, splits in the back and 2x10inch Pioneer subs in the boot
-Has a stainless dash insert with a Blitz boost gauge and a space for another gauge
-Factory Momo steering wheel
-Blitz turbo timer
-Power everything, cruise control
-Alarm, remote central locking

Faults (No, its not perfect)
-One wheel has some scratches (nothing a bit of paint won't fix)
-Drivers side mirror is chipped, but that should be fixed soon
-Needs a stronger clutch (the clutch is fairly new but it slips on higher boost)
-I don't have the factory Momo gearknob
- A/C needs gas

I want around $15,000 which is what I paid for it before the improvements. I'm a little negotiable but if I don't get enough for it I'll just keep it as its a great car....I just want another 1600.

I'll get pics up soon.
Any questions ask me here or call me on 0417405809

Hmm, 450x300 is a little small. However most bigger ones are massive overkill, so it will be interesting to see. The fact that your turbo is not tiny will help too.

Best thing to do is put a temperature probe before and after the intercooler, so you can see what situations it works in and doesn't work in. I once had a Pulsar that had too small an intercooler and a intake temperature on the dash was a great tool. I also found on this car that a simple water spray on the cooler was great for dropping temps.

Anyway, it looks really good. One of the neatest installs I've seen.

Did you drain the old oil first?

Nah, dunno mate, it should take more than a litre. Maybe pull the sump off and have a look

If your asking that question, I'm guessing you won't be doing this yourself, so best off talking to the workshop thats doing the work

The FJ20 is arguably the best four cylinder production engine ever made.

Very very arguably

Just take the one that you have round to parts shops, or specialist fastener shops. Someone will be able to match it up
