i had the same problem when i did mine, the mistake i was making was testing with the assembly out of the car. turns out to earth them properly they have to be bolted in! try that?

great overall car hasn't let me down, just changed oil & coolant
all gauges work, never gets hot, will come with 14 inch meshies with good tires not wantanabes shown. Odo reads 90000 but clocks over at 100 000 so its probably around the 190 000 mark. anything i haven't mentioned just ask.
