i dont think the lamps will be expensive will be about $200AU..small price compared to the look.I am adding a set of round LED fog lamps to the custom grille..these are actually from the new Suzuki swift..yes once again from work..i have deleted the original fender lamps and replaced them with clear LED indicator strips from spare Suzuki Vitara mirror covers ...amazing what can work if you use your imagination

this is interesting as i have been trying to decide the best thing for my sedan. Is an Lseries engine heavier than the A series?i would doubt it and they are much cheaper to build arent they..do you have to slice and dice the tunnel?I dont want to install a Tojo engine..yep i want it to be either
custom or Datsun,,sick yes i know..

true there isnt a lot of clearance but it does fit.i have some nice stainless universals lined up and will give it the clearance it needs.Being a KB laser or 323 i imagine it would be mid 80's or even a little later.Ots amazing how close to size it is but i still have to make the mounts and turn down the rack ends..not hard really..will post the pics when done..still working on the other mods..my mate in taiwan is sending me some new seats over in my next container..cant wait

I am filching some R32 clear LED tail lamps from work because i like the round style lights.I will be frenching them in after smoothing out the rear beaver panel. We bring in heaps of LED lights etc so i have been on the scrounge. You can make just about any style fit the Datto thats why i love playing with them...

There are case for and against.I like the smooth look without but it does dump loads of rain on you when you open the door.Mine had rust on the drivers side where the antenna goes and apparently this is almost std.I want to pick up some chrome strips for there instead of removing the gutters.Did these come on the GX models?

all i can say is be patient and a good car will come along.I had to wait over a year to find one in my budget and locality but it was worth it.They are getting hard to get but i am sure one will pop up.Sounds very expensive to me with a buggered drivetrain anyway.Because its hard to get sheet metal for them i would pay the extra for a good shell though.Mine had a buggered clutch as the old ducks lived in hilly area and liked to slip it a bit...LOL

I know there has been big debate about rack and pinion and i have read plenty of info on the subject.I have been speaking to qualified steering and suspension guys in various places over the last 2 months and basically it boils down to getting the rack as close to size as possible to suit.FYI i have found a KB Laser rack is very close to the correct length and with equally shortened shafts looks like it will work.will post pics as it goes...
