I have heard of people sinking the valve seats deaper, and then you could regring the radius in the chamber witch should be equivilent to the lift. the datsun chambers arent to bad for a 2 valve non crossflow head but they can be improved.

Should be able to get a standard running a15 around the $500 mark? maybe a liiitle more or less depending on condition. and upward from there depending on things sutch as recond?, modifications etc etc..

to me..
head $300-$400(up to $500 if its unmachined and good knick)
intake setup bout the same as the head..
Exhaust $200-$300

Yeah, I'd recomend looking for a 60 4 speed. Its(Im) not the nicest on the little ol 53 but I never do burnouts or anything just launching and flat shifting :S

Yeah theres a 53a 4 speed on it. and theres an exedy HD clutch on it aswell but I think that slips a little?
