sounds like lack of air or lack of fuel... maybe a line is crossed or put where its no supposed to be which cancels out the vacuum?

The size im not too sure off the top of my head, an option is to give your nearest nissan dealer a call and ask them over the phone.
As to where? Any decent hardware store will have them, nylock nuts too.

Genuine will cost a fair whack, but high tensile with Nylock nuts or normal nuts with Locktite compound at the very least will do you fine. Glad to help :)

Which state are you in? Just find some high tensile U bolts and you will be fine mate. Make sure you have nylock nuts as well :D

Nice and neat setup mate! I would start looking at the basics, check a blockage in the intake/exhaust track and fuel. Whats the behaviour of the engine when you rev?

Im thinking along the lines of a shortened R31 axle, shortened shaft and either a CA or RB gearbox. I guess something thats going to be strong but the easiest to fit. Cost comes third...

I may be wrong but the size of the carby may be too small to support a turbo that size on a smaller engine like the a12. I could be wrong... i havent really played with turbo carbys before.
But how does the engine act wen you open up the throttle? Does it cough n splutter? or does it ever so slowly rev up and then plateau?
