Its not a garret T3/T4 turbo thats fur sure... its a copy. I wouldnt trust the intercooler either. Impeller blades are most likely ceramic, cooler properties are prolly crap and have massive pressure drop across the center. Turbo timers are a gimic really as a who would drive their car on full boost for ages unless at a track? Normal driving/spirited driving you wont need one.
At the end of the day you get what you pay for. But i wouldnt spend that little on a turbo setup. Last thing iw ould want is part of an impeller go through the cylinder and maybe bend a valve or crack a piston or something.
Not worth the risk in my opinion

A surge tank is must for spirited street driving! I only need to use about a quater of a tank in mine before it starts starving. Definetly worth having

Keep it simple mate... There is nothing wrong with carbies as a few blokes on here have done them and love it. Just be sure that they are jetted to suit and have been tuned by sumone that knows what they are doing. A set of gsxr carbies would go well, but i also know that FCR carbies are flat sliding and may give u a bit better response and a smidgen more power. Of course results will vary as it all depends on your tuner and supporting equipment like inlet manifold, exhaust manifold, etc...

You wont blow anything up. Its only a signal wire, just the closest size you can get will do.

Not a problem. Its basicall a thin bar that just opens each butterfly at the same time rather than individually. Well its more precise anyways, i cant reallt explain atm, have the damn flu and cant think.

Hey mate,
In one of my old rally cars, i used mainly ACL bearings, ARP studs and bolts, High Comp. CP pistons and Mahle pistons, Carillo rods.
They are typically some of the best items you can get, but this was for race engines. So for street the would definetly do but will be costly. I ran 45 DHLA dellortos as well on a redline manifold though... A synchronisation setup may be needed to keep the tune longer. I used a setup off an Alfa. Before that it needed tuning nearly every 2 months.

depends on how much power you want to make. Im running a T28 BB unit. For a street package you really dont want to go any bigger. A high flowed T25 would be real nice.

In NSW, it has to go by the modifications guidelines which can be found on the RTA website. An engine up to XXXX capacity can be legally engineered into XXXX chassis weight. They determine that by the heaviest model (fully optioned with auto, etc...). The engine, mounts, turbo all have to adhere to certain clearances and like PIGDOG said, only an engineer can tell you, even then i doubt he would tell you the specifics as its trade secrets so-to-speak.
The CA18 can just fit in a 1200 coupe because its so light. The difference is whether or not the engine is a turbo. An N/A SR20 are legal (after being engineered) but a turbo ones are not. You can put a turbo on it after be ing registered but if u get pulled up and the cop knows wat to look for... your dead in the water with a hefty fine.
Take PIGDOG's advice, take your car to an engineer and say whats the biggest engine i can get to be legally registered in this. He should tell you, then its up to you to find a shop that knows what they are doing to get the clearances right and therefore, be able to be engineered. :)
