Howdy,
Ever thought of using a F20C engine and six speed gear box? Stock standard they are 1998cc, 180Kw and rev to 9000rpm.
I have one in my 1200 coupe and it goes and sounds great.
Cheers, Geoff

MADDAT can cut you down a S13 irs rear to the same track as a 1200.
I use a R200 center in mine.
Better handling than a beam axle and more than strong enough for a SR20 turbo.

MADDAT make many different kits for the front of the 1200.
On my maddat hubs the brake rotors go on last over the studs and are held in position by two small screws and then the wheel rim once fitted.

MADDAT also make a trans tunnel for the SR20 conversion.

Thanks Guys.
Hi Bob, My first 1200 coupe with the FJ20 in it did 1:24 with the 13" x 7" rims fitted with slicks (second hand F3 fronts) The FJ20 was 109kw at the wheels.
The Blue Bastard does 1:21 with 15" x 8" rims fitted with Toyo 888's (225 wide) Honda say the F20C is 184kw output. Not sure power at the wheels as it has not been on a dyno. The IRS and big brakes also makes a huge difference.
The first Coupe was better value for money. The blue bastard is way more fun.
I believe the FJ20 has gone? What is powering your coupe these days?
Cheers, Geoff

Howdy,
If you would like to see how the Blue Bastard goes I have uploaded a video of a circuit sprint at Mallala to youtube. if you type into youtube,
"Datsun 1200 Mallala MSCA circuit sprint"
you should go straight to it.
Just remember overtaking under brakes is not allowed.
Cheers Geoff

Maddat is your best source of 1200 after market parts there is. They can supply you with everything for your sr20 installation. They can also modify s13 irs rearends to the correct track for a 1200. There front end suspension / coil overs are second to none.
