I know this seems pretty random, but after starting to grind all the paint off of my car about 2 weeks ago, i seem to have been suffering the symptoms of lead poisoning. so my question is, was lead paint ever used on datsuns? more importantly a 72 canadian/usdm model.

well i actually have access to 3 sedans and a coupe, i chose to rebuild the coupe because i like the body style. i think it would definitely be a stretch to call any of these cars "nice". Also, the price for the sedan is $125 canadian and there arent many of these old cars around where i'm at, so finding a coupe donor car is somewhat out of the question. thanks for the help, the fenders are what i was worried about most.

I've been working on a coupe for the past few weeks, and its about the time that i need to start doing bodywork, so i was wondering what body parts will swap from a 2 door sedan onto the coupe was hoping fenders (guards?) and rockerpanel/doorsils and the rear fender flares would swap from one vehicle to the other. my coupe is quite rust infected

thanks anyways for the advice!

so i bought a 72 1200 coupe, and i need to get it running to bring it to my garage. while working on it today i found that it turns over easily(it's been parked for years, not sure how long) all 4 spark plugs produce a bright orange spark, and i'm still not sure about the fuel pump, but i tried starter spray and gas directly into the carb.
so i'm not sure what my problem could be? i think that i should be getting a bigger spark(blue even?) and i'm not sure if the wires are in the correct order

any advide would be great thanks!

alright, thanx alot guys, i was really worried about the small amount of dust/moist that may have got into the cylinders and valvetrain from not being completely sealed off. i dont get to work on the car untill friday after school, but it should be running and maybe even some bodywork done by the end of the weekend for sure!

I'm right smack in the middle of canada, moosejaw saskatchewan to be more specific. also, when i went to partsource, they said they dont carry a filter for this engine, are there any alternate oil filters for the A12? for example i use a larger S2000 filter in my integra.

so last weeken i towed home a 72 b110 coupe. it's going to eventually be built for auto cross, but right now i need it running and moving so i dont have to rent a trailer to get it to the shop from home and such. the valve cover is not currently atatched to the head (the car has been sitting for some years, not completely sure) and two of the spark plugs are missing, leaving the cylinders open also the air cleaner was off but i expected to have to clean the carb anyways.
i know this is a big question given the circumstances, but what should i have to do to get it running (barely)?

PS: i will soon be getting 3 A12's and will be rebuilding a proper engine for it
