Thanks again for the help. I've managed to get my hands on a reground camshaft that my friend had lying around. It seems to be an extremely mild regrind. 272 degree advertised duration and only 0.332 inch valve lift. From what I've read here, that's almost the same valve lift as the stock camshaft. Is this camshaft any good and is it worth installing on my engine? Would you know what rev range would a cam like this works in or what gains I can expect?

Thanks for a lot the info. I forgot to mention something. The packing for the head had a label that said the head was manufactured in 1995 but nothing about where or by whom. The A12 was put in a FIAT 124 body here by a company called Premier and sold between '89 and '96. The early engines came from Japan but were heavily localized later on. All "NISSAN" logos and branding from the engines disappeared by around '91 and replaced with "Premier India". The engines, according to the brochures, produced 52HP @ 5600 RPM and had a compression ratio of 9.0:1. I just wanted to know what I needed to do to bring it back up to the 69HP @ 6000 RPM rating that the JDM engines had and whether the cylinder head had anything to do with the reduction in power.

I've looked around both the wiki pages and the forum but can't seem to find any info on this head. It says G25 on it but has the old stud pattern for the manifolds. Judging by the packing it came in, it looks like it was locally cast in India. Could anyone help me figure out what head this is and what compression it would give me?
