Hi all, Was about to order one of these off ebay, seem to be around the $350 mark here is Oz with fuel rail. Who has had experience with these in a turbo set up? They claim to be sealed shafts and all, anything to look out for?

Well that went south quickly. There was a guy that was mentioned on here in the Adelaide hills who was a whiz with carbs but i lost the details I wrote down. I think EFI is probably the way to go anyway, spend hundreds getting the carb right vs. putting that towards injection. If anyone knows a good carb guy in Adelaide send me a pm.

For those interested in what happened..... The engine is currently in my 1200 ute. I fitted it with a draw through carb and had it up and running - poorly. Not being able to find anyone to tune it here it sits in the garage. I am contemplating putting some sort of EFI on it, either a weber throttle body type unit or strangely enough was thinking about a 2 injector setup like the one pictured on the previous page with a Haltech or something. This winter it will be running With injection! JD

For sale early 1200 engine, good stock runner complete. Carby overhauled recently but had limited use so may have dried out but not leaking. Replaced with turbo late A12 so no longer required. No oil leaks. Also have standard radiator in good condition recently cleaned and no leaks $50.

The races you refer to were from the Clipsal 500 in Adelaide earlier this year. Chris Brown drives the AE86 (brown eye racing) and Jordan Cox in the civic. Chris has some good you tube clips at bathurst from the 12 hour support race (he blew an engine in race 1 and had to start ROF for race 2, made it to 8th from memory) with in car footage. JD
