Heat is about the only advantage of running them on the firewall.
I would not bother spending money on spitfires or aftermarket brand unless your spark is breaking up at high revs, seems a waste of money to me.

Long beds are really cool, shame it has not sold yet. I guess its not the time for many people to start projects.

Datman, just a h145, but I have a 165 and LSD centre to use later...
Everyone just seemed to reply about how crap ca20's are with no explanation, which made me think either they have terrible bottom ends or no one knows anything about them... If the bottom ends are fine I don't know why it would be such a bad idea, 16v head would be the go as I have one and probably flow fine for the motor with the port job mine already has...
If anyone actually knows anything about the motors I'd love some info...
I'll have a look at the z20s aswell I know nothing about those either...

+40? Are you using spacers? They would rub the suspension struts, and the inside back guards, I can't imagine they would fit...
If it were -40 they would be sticking like 60-70mm put of the guards...
