Hi teretonga:
I think you are 100% right. The 240Z is of course the big brother of the 1200. I think the car is absolutly fantastic. Driving and handling is perfect, and if you add some more power, -
an ultimate car. (But the jewel in my collection is the 1971 1200 Coupe - its absolutely not for sale). The owner of the yellow Z spent VERY-VERY much money (US$ 70.000,- !!!)to have the
car in this condition, and it is a VERY modified car all through. (You should hear the sound...) It is a show-winner, but he doesn't go to shows with the car.
There was sold 47 240Z (70-73) in Norway, so it is a rare car. Numbers for 260Z and 2+2 are 39 / 51. The 1200 2-door Sedan (no 4-door) was sold in 3000 ex, the Coupe 140 ex, 5-door Wagon
1000 ex. No pickups.
Work in Norway - no problemas....

Just added a new album with some of my Datsuns that I own today, or have have owned through
the last few years.
I know this club is for lovers of the Datsun 1200, and the album contence is not only 1200's.
I'll delete the album in a month, I guess.
Please enjoy.
Knut

Thanks for the respond concerning my album.
Yes, they put plenty of salt on the road in my area, but some of my cars have been bought from areas where there is no salt on the road, and there are still possibilites to find good
examples.
-No I never use them in wintertime.
-Modified 240Z = L28ET engine from 83 280 ZXTT(added a big intercooler) . Original 5 sp BorgWarner gearbox (turbo), 3.3:1 (I think) limited slip diff, 1.5 bar turboboost, Jaguar XJS
brakes et.c. The picture is taken on a vacation on the german Autobahn some years ago.

Take a look at: www.ratdat.com (eng. txt) and find a story from Norway and see a story from Norwegian Datsun/PMC meeting 2000.
Knut.

I have added some more photos in my album.
Please enjoy. I have also added some pictures of non-1200 cars from my
carcollection.

Still searching for rear bumperguards for the 1971 1200 Coupe.
Knut.

No-no. In our country (Norway - and Europe as well) bumperguards only were options, and no cars had. Thats why I like to put some on my car. I have managed to get 2 for my front bumper, but
none to my rear. Actually I also think the 1200 looks better with straight bumpers. The 1200 Coupe was only sold in 1970 - 1973 in our country, and only 140 cars came here. Today, only 13
cars exist so they are rare over here. My car has all options available in Europe (exept bumperg.), including rear heated window and original blanket (wool) with Datsun logo for cold
days...
The car is still running on factory tires.
