there is/was a ute in W.A. registered with a V6.

it was a VG30, that had been stamped as a VG20.

there was also a coupe with a VG30 5 speed and 9" diff for a while too.

Both of the above VG powered 1200's were twin cam, NOT quad cam versions.

years ago a mate of mine put a L20B in a 1200 coupe,
he used 910 bluebird arms and 200b struts,
I think that he had to drill the control arm mounting hole in the crossmember to a larger size,
but it increased front track by about 70mm over standard.

I have a cam that would be ideal.

It's a regrind from Wade.

I had it done about 15 years ago, and only used for about 5000 kms.

If I remember correctly it is a 30/70 and can be used with a single carby without idling to badly.

It made a noticeable improvement in performance.

Was keeping it incase I build a turbo L series, but I don't think I'll ever get round to it.

Will sell for $120 posted.

pm if interested.

the very base model 1200's did not have a heater.

I had a 1970 1200 wagon that from new had no heater fitted as standard.

the dash still had the slots where the controls would normally go, there where solid grommets in the firewall where the hoses would normally go, and a blanking plate under the windscreen plenum area where the fresh air intake to the heater box is.

ok flex-tracks can be added later.

my concern is spring rate and ride height.

I have a sedan which has a custom leaf pack in it that I had made for my coupe 20 years ago.

The ride height is good, the spring rate is maybe a little too high.

I just thought it would be nice to reduce unsprung weight while I'm doing the rebuild for the sr20ve.

Sorry I don't have any spec on the leaf packs that I have.
