Thanks. Much quieter now. Actually my feeler gauge doesn't have a .35mm one so i chose .25mm. On my first try i did not notice two feelers(.25 &.30) are stuck together and boy I panicked when the engine sounds like a broken sewing machine!

Hello again,

say mates i've read the valve clearance in wiki and it says it should be adjusted 0.013inch(0.25mm)COLD

But isnt 0.013inches=0.33mm? Just making sure you know...

well bakat, based on what I've read abt ballast resistors and the input here, I'm quite sure I will keep my ballast resistor on my stock hitachi coil for the time being.

No offence. Thanks.

I got myself a C22 vanette eletronic distributor for my A12. So my question is, do i need to remove the ballast resistor?

If I shouldnt remove it, then how should i wire it? directly to the coil terminals or in series with the resistor?

So that means A14 flywheel can be fitted to A12 engine with no mods right?Quote:

Yes you can fit it, you gotta check the flywheel bolts for premature binding before they're fully tight. I don't remember the specifics of it though, there's another thread around here that mentioned it in regaurds to A12 flywheel on larger A engines

Ok i have a A12 b310 so....

Would it be possible to fit in a lightened A14 flywheel into A12 without any mods? Assuming the clutch and pressure plate is a A12 one? Thanks.
