cheers, for all the comments its great to get feed back from datto guy's, I agree with the comments, made good and not so, ps. I really hated using those indicators but you can't tell how much we pumped the front so the factory ones just didn't fit, the engine is the main, part, I bought it years ago off a bloke that used it for hill climbs, It was built by the old Datsun Center in Vic.I have put a new head on it all ported, running Tomei 10,000rpm valve springs,Tomei push rods, Iv'e just started to tune the engine with these carbs, I got to say it makes us all smile so hard every time we get to start it, and the guys doing the tune are all V8 guys, and to see the look on there faces is a blast.

(Sorry if post this twice still learning the site.) Thanks for the feed back, I was not building a jdm spec car. I agree there may be better original cars around, As for the Americans I don't care what they think. I agree it does have bogan aspects to it, but I grew up around the 80's and It really wasn't that bad. I built it the way I wanted, sum will like it sum won't but it's fate is better than when I found it in the wrecking yard. as for the bumpers and stuff it can all go back to original easy, but you work with what you have, and in the end there your cars do what you like, I'm sure I'm going to enjoy driving it...

I'm the owner of the car, to answer the question, its way worth it, there was only two small rust spots behind the rear wheels. That was all,it was metal finished so there was only a wipe of filler, the car is near finished now.I think it has to be close to the best in Oz, you missed a good one,its on the shannons club site... cheers
