Hi Tom, the head bolts are properly siezed into the block and have sheared flush with the face so would need to be drilled out. Iv been told I would be cheaper replacing the engine than having it machined by quite a few people? I'll try my local wreckers. I was hoping that someone on the forum might see the post and have one sitting in their garage they wanted to sell. But if not machining might be my only option.

Cheers

Hi,

I'm new to this forum and and would appreciate some advice

I recently bought a Datsun 1200 B310 wagon as a project car, however when I removed the head I found that two of the head bolts had been sheared. I have searched everywhere for a replacement engine but can't seem to find one. I'm not very familiar with these engines, is there any other models that can be swapped straight in? Or anywhere I could maybe find a replacement engine? I'm based in fife, Scotland. So a replacement engine would have to be fairly local so I could pick it up or for the price of delivery to outweigh having the current engine machined

Any advice would be much appreciated

Cheers,
Mitch
