i tried bbb berocca and it gave me back my bb bounce. I then found i had to replace my struts and find new
leaves for the back.
I heard that gatorade puts back what you put in.
The ute takes my money but still i havent got any back.
Mountain dew is my brew.

okay, so there are heaps of a12 versions.
after stripping the engine to find no 2 piston missing and gettein anothe a12 blok, bearings pistons, gaskets etc, the new block has a 73mm bore where the old burred block that is
knackered has a 77mm bore with standard cats nissan pistons. it doents seem to have been bored due to the original rods and pistons so whats the go. It has the spec of an a14 to me but the
old block shows a12 cast markings.
Would my extractors for the a14 head bolt up to an a12 head as well (oval shaped it was)
happy new year.

the piston. the piston mount to the rod is still intact and the rod is not that bent. its like it shatered. there was no detonation present but after reading another datsun site, i
think it had a blown head gasket. bubles in the oil. no oil in the radiator though?
do you think the a14 head will be okay to use on a new block? theres no damage a die gringer wont fix.

wasnt a droped valve after all, the no 2 piston decided it was lonelt and feeling amourous and then kissed the head, shattering and everyone knows the rest. Got A nice photo out of
it, A new A12 that needs new rings, bearings and love and A new boat anchor or A nother engine to hold down lump a charcols floor for when the wind gets really bad.
Fanta wont save us now!

according to roadside assist, i have a droped valve in my 1200, thank god i thought i had seized it. See its been playing funny buggers recently.
Does any one know what i should do. Will it be cheaper (i hope so:)) to bolt in an a15 or a14 from the datsun wreckers or try to salvage the plagued high strung 1200 that drives
like a dog and farts like one too. $$$ aus would be a nice idea to and somewhere in melbourne if any one knows of to supply.

have got a a12, was told it was rebuilt for hill climbs, revs t0 7000 and cam kicks in at 3000, strong midrange to 6500 then tapers a bit in 4th to 6800, shitty gearing but at least
its like a old version of rev cut out in 4th.

the tacho epidemic is spreading, i have a 4inch cheapie as i cant get the coupe one to work in my ute. as for the relationship between big tachs, big subs and big rims, its
like the chicks in melbourne say, they lack what they need downstairs to attract what they want.
Mountain dew kicks ass on fanta injection, must be that mountain water as it creates a finer mist on the injection path (or caby mixer).
Long live Mountain Dew.
I also use canola lubrication too.

on 13 x 7 rims im running 175 70 r13 up front and 205 60 r13 down back. ideally would like wider up front but $$$ for tyres. On another note, would rims from an n13 nissan pulsar fit on
the 1200 ute or would the pcd be wrong. A guy at work has a set of 13 x 7 csa's with two good 185 70 r13 yokohamas and two worn ones. I would swap the 205 60 r13 to the csa alloys but
scarred they will rub or the rims will have the wrong pcd and the tyres will fowl the body or suspension. $200 the lot. This looks good as my two rear rims are slightly buckled.

had it two weeks, race spec a12 with wild cam that doesnt kick in till 3000rpm, a14 or a15 head, extractors, 2 inch exhaust, DISC BRAKE front end, lowered, 13inch mags, home done paint job
(not too bad), hard lock tray cover, 1200 coupe dash (not working speedo) and the worst seats and gear change ever. Thanks for the word on 180b seats justin. do the frames just bolt
straight in or do i have to take the frames off the old ones and put them on the new?
one last qestion, does any one know of the autotechnica steering whell boss kit for the 1200 ute. i have a older steering whell thats smaller than the bus wheel on it at the moment.

thanks mik melbourne

hi, im new and just got a 1200 ute, 1974 model that you have to hang onto the steering wheel to go around corners. Suspension is fine, its the seats. Apart from race seats,
what will bolt straight in and offer support at the same time.
