my little a12 donk is doin pretty well (apart from a snapped pushrod event), its got good internals HC pistons, (really) lumpy cam etc. but coz o' the old regs of the track it had to stay wit stockinlet/ exhaust! now i dont know whether to buy a manifold for twin webbers and extractors. or just throw in an L20 i have lying around. what do you guys think from a budget point o' view a few o' u guys seem to have twin webbers lying around (lucky bastards), what is a good price for manifold and carbs to pay second hand. and if ne one around brisbane needs to be relieved of their set pls let me know! I cant wait to go home to drive it! my little frontWD laser just duzent do it 4 me!!! Regards TIM

cool... i wish you guys were in OZ, some full glass flared gaurds would be right down my alley! 'specialy home made, to cut out the many middle men! As for making your own over fender flares, i have had no experience in these, but plenty of experience in fibreglassing in custom stereo installs. my guess would be to mount temperaraly, a smooth curved wire/rod where you would want the out side of the flare to be. use cheesecloth to cover the gap between the gaurd and the wire, the coat in fibre resin, reinforce with matting, then smooth over with bog. since these will have little bits of wire 'n' stuff in them, it may be better to make a mould of these to make your finals! Sorry 'bout the explanation, but i am useless at explaning stuff without pictures!

The firing order on the A-series is 1-3-4-2 (i'm pretty sure). i had a prob, last week where the dat was only running on 3 pots. checked spark, it was all good, had fuel, etc. had me stumped for hours... though *stuff it* i'll just have a look at the valves (after realising sumthin' funny was goin on with the compresion on No 2. cylinder, and found my problem... snapped push rod... DAMN! just gotta get 'nother one but i dont think wreckers will like me stuffing up a good engine for 1 pushrod, so i may buy a complete engine!

hey all... i wish you would all stop talking about these cruise... your making me jelous!!!!! :) My datto has no chance of making it on the road(maybe because of the lack of windows, interior, lights, and the addition of a full rollcage) and i cant afford to do a nice one up for the streets :( oh well... make sure you guys have the fun for me, and i will have to wait till i finish bein' a uni student before i can have my dream FJ20 turbo powered 1200 coupe (lowered to the shithouse) cheers tim!
