ok so tonight i got the engine and the gearbox out.
note: if you bought an engine stand from Supercheap, get some long bolts and some washers. it just isnt easy if you dont have spares and stuff.

diff will come out tomorrow. dreading the windscreen..

where do you guys mount your spits (car rotisserie) at the back? leaf spring bracket?

i took off the manifolds, steering linkages and column, and loosened the top gearbox bolts today.
i also lifted the front end higher on the stands coz my back is killing me leaning over.
ive decided im going to make a spit. any ideas on the cheapest way?

Gday fellas,
Thought I would finally add my Ute to the project build thread.
I bought it about 8-9 years ago in Adelaide, South Australia. I moved to QLD about 7 years ago.

I will post before (when i first got it) and now pics soon (computer being a pr*ck).

Its in the shed in the process of being stripped, found rust in the water box :( (need to buy a mig).
Anyway shes factory red, drums all round 56A with an A12, straight and fairly untouched.
In regards to direction...... I just know i like the tough look of a racing 1200 coupe.

i like electric windows, keyless locks, switches, hard lid, digital gauges and bare engine bays.
will be keeping the A series, no turbo, no injectors.
Need to find a doner vehicle soon for disk struts, maybe an overdrive box or different diff gears.

Cheers guys

these are the pics of how it is now
