I'm in Brisbane, so the canadian one will prob be a bit too far out for me  My budget is about 4,000AUD, but obviously I'd like to spend a bit less if the 1000 needs some work to get to RW.

Hey all, I am currently chasing a tidy Datsun 1000 to use as a daily and eventually modify/resto. I've pretty much exhausted all my avenues of enquiry at the moment, and am getting really dicouraged at the lack of availables out there. Understandably, these little babys (as all dattos are) are getting very rare as no one wants to get rid of them I see this is punishment for selling my 1600 and 1200 sedan. lol Any leads are also appriciated. Damn, I would love to attend, except I'm pretty sure the 1200 won't make it up or down Nebo alive. Need to get that brake booster in first  Speaking of which, can any one in Brisbane recommend a good value, and quality, workshop that would be able to install a brake booster (a little custom work involved I think, no more room on the firewall ) Cheers,

Awesome, cheers guys.  What kind of work is involved in putting in new seat, is it just a case of taking the old ones out and bolting in the new rails/seats?

Hey Guys, First just a hey hey I'm new here, just rejoined the datsun family (used to own a 1600) by purchasing a straight clean 1200 sedan. I've had a bit of bad luck with one of the mags, so I'm looking for a new set of rims. 14x6 pref, as I'm planning on just refitting them with the tyres I have. So anyone in the Brisbane (Aus) area who has a set, or knows someone who does, shoot me an email at c.springsteen@au.darkbluesea.comCheers. (Also, does anyone know what you can replace the stock 1200 seats with? I was told late 80's Prelude seats are a good fit.)
