Still ticking along, now have the gilmer drive all lined up, motor ready to go in. Got some shims made up for the manifold to space the different heights of the headers and intake manifold.

Now all I need is some time to put the clutch on, swap it over and see how she goes!

Dont mind all the crap in the background...

Been a while since the last update, got most of it together now.

- Motor completely assembled
- Headers wrapped
- Carbies prepared

Once I find time to stick it in I just need to put on the new Xtreme clutch and setup the thermo fan.

Cheers guys.

Started on the head, got most of it done but somehow I'm missing 2 of those little valve collet things, anyone got some spares they could sell me? Or where can I source some from..

EDIT: called Nissan and they had some in stock, $4 each, easy.

Did you find a genuine replacement? I got a mate to turn up a bit of nylon that fit in there and works a charm.

Hey all, not your full ground up rebuilt thread but I'm working on refreshing an A15 and sticking it in my Sunny.

So far have most of the short block together, nothing fancy but should be nice:
- bearings
- rings
- aggressive cam grind (got to have it lumping over)
- gilmer drive (sourced from this forum)

Got the head pretty much done, need to tidy it up a little and rebuild with double valve springs to suit the cam. Apart from that I have a couple of dellortos to give it the juice.

I'll also have to paint the valve cover and alternator so it looks as nice as the rest! Anyway it looks pretty neat I think, looking forward to getting it going.

I've got one I took of my sedan mate, would that fit? You can have it but I'm in Adelaide so that's a bit of a hike for a relatively heavy item.
