#5 slow throttle response (a12)
sasquatch_nz Posted on: 2004/3/4 5:55
the stock standard a12 sitting in my '74 120y is a bit slow in getting the revs up, even if i floor it, it takes a few (3-5_ seconds for the throttle to actually kick in.
anyone know what the problem might be??

palmy north is ok, although the river was about 1.5m away from going over the stopbank on monday! (and i only live about 100m from the river at the most!)
theres a hell of a lot of damage to most of the reserve/tracks along the riverside, but thats nothing compared to what fielding etc has got to clean up,
Apparently $100mil of damage, and the governments only chipping in about $250,000

(as soon as i get my 120y coupe going, that is )

#9 stuck drums!
sasquatch_nz Posted on: 2004/2/13 7:04
i think my rear left drum on my '74 120y coupe is completely stuck and the right one is just slightly sticking. ive got the back end up on blocks at the moment and only the right wheel spins, with no movement in the left.
anyone know how to un-stick them??

#10 Re: clutch not disengaging
sasquatch_nz Posted on: 2004/2/13 6:53
got it going today, relised we werent pulling the cable far enough, as the clutch dosnt actually come out until about the last cm of travel in the lever. so the g/box/clucth is fine.
just need to find a cable that fits.
only other thing is, when we had it going in 1st with the back jacked up, only the right wheel was moving, so i think the drums might be seized, anyone got any advice for unseizing them?
