The gearbox that broke was a second hand Jap import box. I didn't break the gears was the Syncro detent springs that had popped out making it crunch gears. I had also broken the 3rd 4th selector fork. I now runnign a brand new box with PPG billet selectors without issue I have just finished rebuilding the old box so have a spare as well. If you go the RB box yu will have to modify teh belhousing and a few other bits and pieces of you go the OSG the SR and CA gearbox is basically the same. would be less work in my opinion. Really depends on the power you are going to make and how you treat it

I have a set of low impedance 1000cc light blue denso injectors with plugs if your keen.
$250 ono inc freight in Aus Have been cleaned flowed and tested.

Thanks Jeff I often wonder how my old coupe is going I miss that car. I know what you mean with kids they definitely slow things down a bit I have a 15 and 11 year old.
We did play with the cam timing a bit with the old engine made a little difference but not that much.Just shifted where it made the power was dialed in for more midrange
Im using bigger cams tomei 270deg with 8.8 lift in my engine now but left the cams in the stock position. From memory the old CA that you have now made around 180kw on 15psi close to 250hp and 230kw on 22 psi around 300hp would run hot on the higher boost on circuit so left it on the lower boost level for most events. My new engine in the ute is pretty full on large 5557 turbo stroker bottom end running on E85 makes 285kw on 22psi and 347kw on 32psi So much fun to drive a little out of control. Mcdat I had to recess the head a little for cam lobe clearance around 1mm or so not heaps and also running tomei springs.
Mcgee It handles different to the coupe not in a bad way its a lot more aggressive with how power comes on . Doesn't squat as much as the coupe did but still feels predictable. Next track day I do i plan on doing some laps with them disconnected just to see if it does make a difference. It doesn't bind up and still turns in pretty well. I'm looking forward to more track time once my gearbox is repaired.

It actually handles quiet well lots of fun still sorting it a little.
I don't run high boost on circuit as it just bakes the tyres.
Hooks up nicely with with the spool and caltacs. Stops really well now I have some project Mu pads
This year money permitting will be doing a lot more events.
Im aiming for a 1.06 around Wakefield Park and a 10 flat quarter mile
last year saw a 10.8@133 and a 1.10 around Wakefield with brake and traction issues.

Hi mate sorry it took me so long to answer its running a 1.3mm MLS headgasket the head was surfaced but not much taken off just a clean up.
I'm in the process of doing more work on her with the power it was making has broken quiet a bit. Upgraded to 31 spline billet axles after twisting the 28 spline ones. Running a Jim Berry single plate with heaps of clamp after cooking the OSG. Broken the RB25 gearbox installing ppg billet selectors and a few other goodies to help it shift better and more reliable. Also fitting a larger 5558 turbo and a retune should see close to 400kw

Precision 5557 SP with a 0.48 rear making 23psi by 4200rpm it's very zippy for a large turbo.
