But WHY?????
My ute has been on lpg - the plumbing and the switch are still in place.
A 1200 can run on the exhaust emissions of the car in front.....

I figure that what is wanted is tailgate air lifters, and that some audio gear is mounted on the tailgate.
Should not be a problem at any spares place...

There's a simlple way to eliminate the carby as the noise source... put the old one back on!!
It may be the simplest option.

My '73 ute has Daytona semi-racing buckets fitted. There is plenty of room for me - 6'0" and 17stone. But, I cannot find a home for the pinch-bar that I need to get me out of the seat! So, they are coming out, and will find a new home in my son's 1600.
I, too, am looking for seats to fit the ute.
